The Remarkable Vocals choral ensemble presents songs for Christmas and other melodies in the stunning Thomas Brown Gallery.
Beautiful music ranging from Rutter Carols to a taste of Bach, Brahms and even Enya provides entertainment to lift the spirits. There will be a stunning solo of Faure's Apres un Reve by soprano Sally Geddes, Masa Nakazawa will present piano solos and a song from Alan Pickard, Baritone.
A feature of the 12 choral items from the choir is the charming Vois sur ton Chemin a song from the 2004 film Les Choristes. Text and music are by Bruno Coulais and Christophe Barratier.
The group is directed by Sue Patterson and accompanied by Jeanette Robertson.
The 15 strong vocal group's harmonies draw an ever growing following of supporters. Choral Director Sue Patterson says, "people love the acoustics and atmosphere in the gallery.
Tickets are $40 and include half time refreshments of wine and nibbles. The tickets can be purchased from the Lakes District Museum, Summerfields Pharmacy or Wilkinsons Pharmacy. The tickets are often sold out and we recommend people purchase before the concert day. The concert is free to school-age children.
