The New Zealand Golf Open is back in Play
After last years success, organisers of the 103rd New Zealand Open are thrilled to get the largest event on New Zealand’s golfing calendar back for 2024
Between February 29th and March 3rd over 5000 golf professionals will be teeing up across both Millbrook Resort’s stunning Coronet and Remarkables courses in a bid to lift the Brodie Breeze Trophy, first presented to the New Zealand Open winner back in 1923.
It’s the eleventh year the event will be held in its unique Pro-Am format with paying amateurs paired with professionals in a simultaneous ‘best-ball’ format.
The runaway success of Millbrook’s new 36-hole operation also triggered significant investment into extensions and improvements at its driving range which will open in time to cater for the influx of tournament players.
All competitors will play alternate rounds over the first two days on the Remarkables and Coronet courses before the Friday night ‘cut’ sees 60 pros and the top 40 pro-am teams heading into the final weekend of play.
Entry to the 2024 New Zealand Open is free and people are encouraged to turn up for all four days of superb golfing action.
Some of Queenstown’s top food and drink vendors will be on site, and large outdoor screens will capture exciting action around the course in what promises to be a festival atmosphere.
