Bendix Stables

Nestled snugly in the heart of Arrowtown's Buckingham Green, Bendix Stables is a cherished local gastropub, steeped in history dating back to 1873. Originally built as the horse stables of Bendix Hallenstein, a notable local entrepreneur and political figure, Bendix laid the groundwork for what has become a beloved gathering spot for friends and family alike. Today, Bendix Stables embodies a haven for relaxation along with offering ample space for children's play and a dedicated kids' menu to ensure every member of the whānau can dine with ease.

Embrace the summer vibe with live performances by local bands, creating the quintessential atmosphere for a relaxed evening out. Come winter, our crackling outdoor fire beckons, offering a cozy refuge for sipping on mulled wine or indulging in a steaming cup of mulled Ginger Bear, while the youngsters delight in s'mores. Our expansive outdoor deck serves as a prime spot to sit back, relax, and watch the world amble by, irrespective of the season.
