Emma, a native of England, always had a growing interest in Art, and took an Art course and graduated from the Chelsea College of Art and Design with a BA honours in textiles. She has immersed herself in the vibrant tapestry of New Zealand since 1996 when she originally planned a short visit. Her profound connection with the stunning landscapes of the Queenstown area sparked a deep inspiration that led her to make NZ her home!
After settling in Queenstown, she took on various roles in Hospitality whilst working on her art and bringing up three children. Now they have all left home Emma has now decided it’s time to focus on her art full time, so she set up a small Art studio in the Coachmans Hall in Arrowtown.
She uses the studio to work on her various art projects, and also welcomes visitors and locals to the studio to purchase from her growing portfolio.
Emma has received a number of accolades for her work – 1997 Queenstown Arts ‘n’ Fashions Awards, 2003 Queenstown Art Society Awards, 2005 Locations Artist Festival.
Her artistic prowess gained international recognition with features in 1994 International Textiles Magazine, and 1995 Elle Decoration Magazine.
