The fabulous Arrowtown Photography Competition is on again!

Arrowtown is one of New Zealand's most photographed villages and we love sharing photos of our charming town.

And new for 2018, there are now four exciting categories  -

  • Landscape, must be recognisably of the Arrowtown area
  • Activities and People, this could for example be people having fun in the river,  the Autumn Festival, or a commercial activity. Perhaps a portrait of a local?
  • Nature and macro, plants or animals and pets in our area
  • Arrowtown heritage, feature our wonderful history - this could be buildings, artefacts or anything from our amazing history
  • Junior section under 15 years of the above categories

You can enter up to four photographs total across any category.

The Grand Prize for the best photo overall is the distinctive trophy created by Arrowtown’s famous The Jade and Opal Factory. The Harvey Norman Photo Centre will present prizes to the value of $800.

A selection of the best 15 photos (1st, 2nd, 3rd from each category plus juniors = 15) will be on display in the foyer of the Lakes District Museum in Arrowtown during the Arrowtown Autumn Festival.  Winners will be announced during the Friday 20 April Autumn Festival Art Exhibition Opening ($5 entry includes first drink).

Entries close March 30, 2018.
