 This year’s prestigious Arrowtown Photography competition is featuring photos of Arrowtown and the surrounding area. Categories are:

  • Best Arrowtown townscape or landscape photograph
  • Best Arrowtown leisure activities photograph
  • There will be a junior prize for school age or pre-school age

The Grand Prize is the distinctive trophy created by The Jade and Opal Factory, based in Arrowtown. Prizes to the value of $500 will be presented during the festival.

Entries which close on 31 March are open to amateur and professional photographers. A selection of the best 20 photos will be on display in Arrowtown from Thursday 20 April – 25 Tuesday April. Download an entry form.

Conditions of entry: The competition is open to all photographers, professional and amateur. Images may not have been previously entered in a competition. Photographers may enter up to four images overall. While photographers retain their rights to the photographs they submit, they acknowledge that in entering them they are giving the Arrowtown Promotion and Business Association (APBA) the right to use the photographs without charge to assist in promoting Arrowtown in any ways the organisation sees fit. Entries submitted will be retained by the (APBA).

Entries must be submitted before 5pm 31 March 2017. Each must be presented in a high resolution  readable presentation (ie. Stick, disc or by email [preferred option]). Entries will be retained by the (APBA). Each electronic copy including emailed entries must be given a title, and identified with the entrant’s name, telephone number, and email address.
