The Lakes District Museum is appropriately set in the former Bank of New Zealand building on Buckingham Street, Arrowtown. Displays depict an authentic picture pre-European Maori and gold mining history.

Set in the historic village of Arrowtown, New Zealand, we offer a fascinating insight into the history of New Zealand's Southern Lakes District. As well as unique displays in the museum and special exhibitions gallery, we offer options for tour, education, and conference and incentive groups.
