Established in 1866, this original country ‘pub’ is a true icon in Arrowtown. The New Orleans Hotel is located on the famous Buckingham St, in the heart of this Central Otago gold rush town. Historic buildings, quaint shops, delicious eateries and the Arrow River are right on your door step.
Accommodation rooms are available in double or twin configuration and offer views across the Arrow River or over the private courtyard. Amenities include ensuite bathrooms, TV and tea/coffee-making facilities.
The restaurant & bar is open 7 days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The huge open fires are inviting in winter and in the summer the sunny deck overlooking the river is the perfect spot for a beer with friends.

From Queenstown International Airport:
Distance 15 km – about 17 minutes drive. Turn right at Kawarau Rd and right at Frankton Ladies Mile Highway. Continue onto Lake Hayes Arrow Junction Highway and turn left at Arrowtown Lake Hayes Rd. Continue onto Berkshire St and turn right at Buckingham St.
From downtown Queenstown:
Distance 20 km – about 21 minutes drive. Take Gorge Road and continue onto Malaghans Road after Arthur’s Point. Turn left at Berkshire St and right at Buckingham St.
